Micropigmentation is a form of tattooing. The pigments (ink) is implanted into the dermis layer of the skin to change its colour.

Micropigmentation is a technical term for the cosmetic application of pigments into the skin, commonly known as permanent or semi -permanent make up, microblading or cosmetic tattooing.

The wording semi-permanent would suggest something that will last but eventually fade but in this instance we cannot determine the length of time the pigment will last and for some it will last years & therefore boarder lining permanent. 

This treatment is a tattoo but using pigments appropriate for cosmetic tattooing, not like your usual tattoo pigments.

There are different pigments on the market used in permanent make up, what products are used is down to the artist, their training & what they expect from a treatment.

Becky has trained in & used Biotek pigments throughout & the results are clear to see, offering beautiful colours, long lasting with a natural fade.

The Treatment

 

The treatment will be split into three separate visits......

* An initial consult - You will have a patch test & go through the necessary paperwork of which you will take home to read & understand. 

 

* Treatment day - You come in for your first part of the treatment, this can vary in time depending on the area we are working on.

 

* The final visit - This will be 4-6 weeks after the initial treatment to allow for the healing process to complete. We will do what we call a top up, this will refresh the area we have previously worked on.

* Finally, sometimes, an area may need an extra visit, this can depend on skin type as to how well the area has taken or in some cases poor aftercare. 

(Depending on the situation there may be an extra charge for this)

Aftercare

​

Aftercare is given to every client; this will come in a form of an advice sheet & some aftercare balm. It is so important that this advice is followed, fail to do this could result in your treatment not healing as you would expect.
